Background:

On 24th of December 2011 the world has changed.

As predicted by ancient Mayan calendars, magic has returned to the world. Mystic beings like orcs dwarfs and dragons revealed their true forms, mages and shamans wield their ancient powers of casting spells, conjuring astral entities or travel through astral space. The world has changed, some say it has awakened.The year is 2050. The world has learned to adapt to the changed circumstances, astonishing progress in technology alows the human brain to meld with computers to control machines and vehicles by the shere power of their will or it allows to travel through a worldwide cybernetic network, called the Matrix. Trough the power magic gave them, the American and Canadian natives had gained their independence. They formed the Native American Nations (NAN) and what was left of the Us was devided into the Confederated Amarican States in the South and the Rest formed together with what was left of Canada ,the United American and Canadian States(UCAS). In these conglomerates the national goverments lost their power to the huge megacorporations, which had gained extraterritoriality through a decision in 2001. These corporation fight one another through espionage, kidnapping, hijacking and the like. The weapons in these secret wars are the shadowrunners. People without identities, cleared out of all computer networks, they roam the shadows of the huge megaplexes ready to take on any run at any risk if the pay-off is right...

The Players role:

Basically the Players take over the roles of the shadowrunners, to struggle their daily survive in the shadows of the megaplexes, but new changes in the concept make it possible to play corporate security teams, gangs, magical special-units or even the police.

System:

The system of Shadowrun uses a number of 6sided dices equal to the skill used to roll against a certain targetnumber, the more successes rolled the better!
